In conjunction with World Suicide Prevention Day, SOS will be hosting Spark the Change Fest on Saturday, 2 September 2023, at OCBC Square @ Singapore Sports Hub.
In its second edition now, the fest will kick off with a physical 3km #HowRU charity walk in the morning, where participants can walk to show solidarity and support of individuals facing a crisis, thinking about or affected by suicide. Apart from a range of fringe activities and exhibitions throughout the day, event-goers can also learn more about SOS and how each of us have a part to play in Singapore’s suicide prevention and intervention efforts.
This year, our fundraising goal is $300,000 and your support in helping us achieve this will make an impact in suicide prevention, together. All eligible donations to SOS will also be entitled to 2.5 times tax deduction of the donated amount.

Why do I have to register even though it is free?
Your registration helps us in planning an optimal experience for everyone. We welcome onsite registration on the day of event but this is subject to event capacity.
Do I have to attend the event from 9am-9pm?
Join us at anytime. While the walk takes place in the morning, the fest will include a range of fringe activities, exhibitions and workshops that will continue throughout the day. Event-goers can find out more about the suicide landscape in Singapore and play a role to break the stigma and spark the change in the topic of suicide.
What time does the charity walk start?
The charity walk is scheduled to start at 0930.
Is there a time limit for me to complete the walk-in?
Hope and love cannot be defined by the length of time. There is no time limit for the charity walk - just walk at a pace you're comfortable with!
What happens if it rains?
Like life, the weather will not always be perfect. And that's why we choose to be a rain-or-shine event (unless we receive an official lightning alert to halt outdoor activity).
Is there a goodie bag for everyone?
The first 2,500 registrants for the event will get a race pack with a variety of goodies, including an event T-shirt for you to change to before you begin the walk!
Can I bring my dog?
Spark the Change Fest is a pet-friendly event, but please make sure your four-legged friends are leashed at all times!
How do I fundraise for the event?
You can donate via our Spark the Change Giving.sg page here or create a sub-campaign to be a fundraiser for us on Giving.sg. If you need more information, please reach out to us at giving@sos.org.sg
